Course Rationale

The Navigation skills course is ideal for anyone that wants to be self-sufficient in the countryside, moors, hills and mountains of the UK.

Who Should Attend

This course is perfect for anyone with little or no prior navigation experience. Whether you are a hill walker who wants to be able to head out in all weathers, enrolling on the Countryside Leader Award or Mountain Leader scheme, or a just want to navigate around the forest and back to the car.

Course Content

• Map Reading
• Correct use of compass
• Reading of the land, contours etc.

1 - 2 Days

Assessment and Certification

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.

Booking a Course

We can run in-house training at your venue for groups of any size.

You simply need a room large enough to not only seat everyone but also to allow them to lie on the floor and be rolled around without bumping into furniture or each other.
