All staff INSET First Aid with Paediatric Elements
The human body does not change! What does change is the context in which the first aid is provided. ITC develops environment specific first aid training courses providing current best practice in diverse environments ranging from Outdoor and Expedition First Aid through to Road User or Motorcyclist First Aid.
The Countryside Leader Award (CLA) is for adults who wish to lead walks and camping expeditions in non-remote, lowland countryside. This corresponds with the recommended DofE bronze and silver expedition terrain.
The award is designed for people who already have experience working with young people.
The CLA is seen as pre- the MLTUK Walking Group Leader Award (WGL) in terms of technical skills required.
It is not run by the MLTUK, but closely follows their model — the CLA Logbook is designed so that anyone who goes on to do their WGL, ML or SPA can transfer their pages straight into their new logbook.
Our Navigation skills training is ideal for anyone wanting to improve their map reading & navigation skills to allow them to safely enjoy the mountainous or Moorland regions of the UK with confidence.
Some previous experience of map reading & navigation techniques is useful but not essential.
In this course we cover the role of the designated fire marshal. We will train you in all aspects of Fire Safety as well as the correct use and choice of Fire Extinguisher. This is held at your venue.
